After the good job that we have done with this site in the past 2 months, we have decided to sell onemileaway.com and all its content. At this moment the website produces several unique visitors per month, and has an Alexa rank of 1,069,434 . The traffic is still increasing everyday due to the SEO-strategies we have applied. This is an excellent opportunity for everybody who would buy a site already launched. The price is only 20.000$ and it is negotiable. Email us if you are interested. Thanks. |

Think of the internet as a public place: when you speak loudly with a friend beside you then all other people between you and your friend will hear what you are saying. It works the same on the internet: when you connect to a web site then all the hosts in between could sniff your traffic, and this is not what you would expect if you need to enter any sensible data such as username and password (think of e-commerce, internet banking, webmail). One of the solutions to this problem is SSL wich stands for Security Socket Layer. It provides both confidentiality and integrity and it is collocate at the Transport level in ISO/OSI stack definition so it is completely transparent to an internet user. You begin an SSL session when you digit an url starting with https:// . Then two step follow: server responding at that url will send you its certificate which is automatically analysed by your browser. The browser searches its list of certification authorities to check if the server certificate is valid. If so, you consider the server secure and you enter in second step. In the second step you must authenticate to the server entering username and password in a secure way. If your authentication is successfull then all the data you will exchange with the server is encrypted and no one else can see your traffic. In conclusion, my advice is to keep your eyes open when you surf the internet and be sure that every time a web site wants your username and password the url shown by your browser starts with https://. |
